Mirabel-aux-Baronnies
is situated 50 km east of the Rhone Valley, in the upper part of Provence,
equidistant (8km) from the historic Vaison-la-Romaine to the south and
Nyons to the north, a market town famous for its olives. The village
is sited between the provençal landscape of olive groves and
vineyards to the west, and the pre-Alps to the east, offering impressive
hiking and mountain bike trails. In summer, there is choice of places
to cool off: two waterparks, local rivers, and the spectacular gorge
of the Vallée de Toulourenc.
